Cartridge Heaters

Cartridge Heaters

High-Density Heating for Molds, Dies & Industrial Tooling

Our cartridge heaters deliver concentrated, high-density heat directly into metal tooling, molds, and dies. Engineered with premium magnesium oxide (MgO) insulation and high-grade sheath materials, they provide consistent temperature control, rapid heat transfer, and extended service life even in demanding industrial conditions.

Applications

• Plastic injection molds
• Hot runner systems• Die casting molds
• Packaging sealing equipment
• Rubber vulcanization
• Laboratory ovens and test chambers

All cartridge heaters are manufactured under IATF 16949 and carry CE marking and RoHS compliance.

CE & UL Certified

All heating elements carry CE marking (EU) and UL certification (North America). RoHS and REACH compliant materials standard.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the MOQ for cartridge heaters?+

There is no fixed MOQ. Prototypes, small maintenance batches and large production volumes are all accepted. For fully custom heaters the practical minimum depends on specifications and is confirmed in your quote.

Can diameter, length, voltage and wattage be customized?+

Yes — most cartridge heaters we supply are built to drawing. We can customize diameter and length, watt density (standard or high-density), voltage up to 480V, sheath material (SS304, SS316 or Incoloy), cold-zone length, and termination style (leads, terminals or screw connectors). Tight diameter tolerance and wattage tolerance are available for precision tooling.

Do you make samples for new tooling projects?+

Yes. We can produce sample or pilot quantities from your drawing for validation before serial production. Sample timing and charges depend on specifications and are agreed in advance.

How fast can you deliver? Do you hold stock in Europe?+

Common specifications can ship from our warehouses in Germany and the Netherlands. Custom heaters are produced to order; lead time depends on specifications and quantity and is confirmed on the proforma invoice before you commit.

Are the heaters certified for the EU and other markets?+

Cartridge heaters are CE marked and RoHS compliant, and our heating elements are available under UL file E511579 where required. Production runs under our IATF 16949 quality system, with 100% electrical testing before shipment. Tell us your destination market and we will confirm the correct certification package.

What information do you need to quote?+

Bore diameter, insertion length, voltage, wattage (or target temperature), sheath material preference, termination style, lead length and application. A drawing is the fastest route; photos or sketches also work.

What warranty applies?+

Heaters are warranted against manufacturing defects, with terms stated on the proforma invoice. Service life strongly depends on correct bore fit and watt density — air gaps and over-wattage cause overheating and are not covered as defects.

Selection Guide

Typical Application Key Considerations Recommended Selection Direction
Plastic injection molds & hot runner nozzlesHigh watt density, precise bore fit, fast cyclingHigh-density heater with tight diameter tolerance; SS304 or Incoloy sheath depending on operating temperature
Die casting moldsVery high sheath temperaturesIncoloy 800/840 sheath grade with matched watt density; confirm target temperature with our engineers
Packaging sealers & shrink equipmentMedium density, frequent cycling, simple leadsStandard-density SS304 cartridge with flexible lead termination
Food & pharmaceutical machineryWash-down, corrosion resistanceSS316 sheath with suitable lead protection; specify cleaning regime
Laboratory & test equipmentAccurate wattage, compact space, repeatable resultsTight wattage-tolerance build with custom termination and defined cold zone
Deep or long boresHeat only where needed, protect leads from heatCustom cold-zone design with distributed wattage; send bore dimensions
